Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what RaxDo collects, why, who receives it, where it is processed, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. RaxDo is an AI tutor used by students of all ages, including teenagers, so we keep what we collect to what the service needs.
1. Information we collect
• Account: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash) and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID, name and profile photo. • Profile and settings: language, appearance, the learning level and subjects you choose, and your privacy choices. • What you send the tutor: your messages, photos and files, the tutor's answers, your projects and their files, feedback and answer reports. • Memory and learning notes: Memory is on by default (you can turn it off in Settings → Memory). When it is on, RaxDo keeps your learning level per subject, concepts you have practised, mistakes to revisit, useful facts about your learning, and a dated study history (see section 5). • Payments: your plan and billing period. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, sign-in times and security events, used to keep accounts safe and to stop abuse, including coded (hashed) device and network signals for free-plan abuse prevention.
2. How we use it, and why
• To provide the tutor and your account (needed to deliver the service you asked for). • To personalize lessons with Memory (on by default), which you can turn off at any time in Settings → Memory. • To keep RaxDo secure: preventing abuse, fraud and attacks, and fixing errors (our legitimate interest in a safe service). • To understand how RaxDo is used: counting visits to its pages (our legitimate interest in running and improving the service). • To handle payments and keep billing records (contract and legal obligations). • To send account emails, such as verification, password reset and the reminders you turn on. We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and we do not use your chats to train our own AI models.
3. Who receives your data, and where
We share data only with the service providers that run RaxDo for us: • AI providers, which receive your messages, photos and files, the context the tutor needs (such as Memory, your recent chats and project files) and the tutor's instructions: DeepSeek (China), OpenAI (United States), Anthropic (United States, for Mentor mode) and, only as a backup, Xiaomi MiMo (China). They receive no name, email or account ID. We use their business (API) services, not their consumer apps, and each processes this data under its API terms. OpenAI and Anthropic do not use API data to train their models. • Web search: Serper (United States) receives the search queries made for Deep research. • Payments: Stripe (your name, email and payment). • Email: Resend (your email address and the content of account emails). • Google: Sign in with Google, and Firebase Storage for profile photos and project files. Project files are private. A profile photo is public so it can be shown: anyone with its link can see it. • Cloudflare: network protection and the robot check (Turnstile) for all traffic. • Sentry (European Union): error reports, with personal data removed before they are sent. • GitHub (United States), Anthropic (United States, which makes the Claude assistant that helps run RaxDo) and Discord: our engineering and alert tools. They receive error reports and server logs with names, email addresses and IP addresses removed, never your chats. • OVHcloud: our servers. Google Cloud Storage: our encrypted backups. Some of these providers are outside your country, including in the United States and China, so your data may be processed there.
4. How long we keep it
• Your account, chats, projects and settings: until you delete them or your account. • When you delete your account: it is closed at once and fully deleted after a 30-day grace period, so you can change your mind. Copies in our encrypted backups disappear within about 40 days after that, and we never restore deleted accounts from backups. • Shared answer links: they expire after 30 days, and you can revoke them at any time. • Security records (such as sign-ins and consent changes): kept to protect accounts. When an account is deleted, the IP address and device details are removed from them. • Error reports at Sentry: kept for a limited period (up to 90 days). • Free-plan abuse signals: coded (hashed) and kept only as long as needed to prevent abuse. • Visit statistics: the page, the day and the country. No IP address or browser details are kept. Visitors who are not signed in are coded with a code that changes every day, so they cannot be followed from one day to the next; visits while signed in are linked to your account. Deleted after 90 days. Payment providers may keep billing records for as long as tax and financial laws require.
5. Memory and learning notes
Memory is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Memory. When Memory is on, RaxDo keeps your learning level per subject, concepts you have practised, mistakes to revisit, useful facts about your learning (such as your goals and subjects), and a dated study history, so the tutor can pitch explanations to your level and pick up where you left off. This context is sent only to the AI providers named in section 3 to answer your questions, and is never used for decisions about you outside RaxDo. It is kept while your account exists. You can see, pause or delete individual facts, or use "Forget everything" in Settings → Memory (or delete your account) to erase all of your Memory, concepts, mistakes to revisit and study history. Deleting a chat or a project also deletes the facts and the study history Memory learned from it; your learning level, the concepts you have practised and the mistakes to revisit are your learning profile across all your study and stay until you use "Forget everything". Deleting a single fact also deletes the study history of the chat it came from, and RaxDo no longer recalls what was said earlier in that chat; your learning level and the rest of your Memory stay.
6. Students, teenagers and children
You must be at least 13 years old to use RaxDo. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian, and by creating an account you confirm that you have it. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we delete it. Parents and guardians can ask us at privacy@raxdo.com to see, correct or delete their child's data, or to close the account. RaxDo is built to follow children's privacy laws, such as the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
7. Cookies and browser storage
• Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect your session and remember your language. • Once you are signed in, a random device cookie (raxdo.trial_device) helps stop abuse of the Free plan. It holds no personal details and lasts up to 10 years. • Cloudflare may set security cookies and run its robot check (Turnstile) to protect the site. • Your browser stores your preferences, such as theme, cookie choices and drafts. If you choose an account on the sign-in screen, the browser also remembers it on that device until you sign out. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics tools on the website. If you allow analytics in the cookie banner, errors that happen in your browser are reported to Sentry, with personal data removed; we never record your screen.
8. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and backups are encrypted. Access to our systems is limited to the people who run RaxDo. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Your rights
You can see and correct your information in Settings, download a copy of your data (Settings → Privacy → Download your data), turn Memory on or off or use "Forget everything" in Settings → Memory, and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account (an active paid subscription must be cancelled first). Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict some processing and to withdraw consent. Contact us at privacy@raxdo.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as RaxDo changes. We will tell you about important changes on the site or by email. The date at the top always shows the current version.
